Case Study of Children Tuberculosis

Tuberculosis reasons almost two million deaths every year. It is important that child are more vulnerable specially girl child to infect TB bacteria. World Health Organization (WHO) approximations that just about one billion people will be infect between 2000 and 2020. As if supplementary effective precautionary actions are not adopt. It is more communicable disease in law land country like Bangladesh. The TB bacteria are most often found in the lungs, where they can cause chest pain and a bad cough that brings up bloody phlegm. There are other symptoms of TB have found includes fatigue, weight loss, appetite loss, chills, fever, and night sweats.

Poly is fifteen (15) Years girl children of village of Bangladesh. She is a students of class 10 (Ten) of a local high school near Union Parishad of her village. So far we have become able to identify 14 person child Tuberculosis patients from her community.  All patients have getting medical facilities under the National TB control of directly observe treatment (DOT) program run by Damien foundation with the help of Upzilla Health complex. Poly is one of them.

Since three months ago Poly became fever with cold, headache and flu. That situation she went a local health practitioner. Health Practitioner provided some medicine to poly. After getting medicine poly did not cure at all. She became sick again. During her sick she observed to symptoms include fatigue, weight loss, appetite loss, fever, cough and night sweats. At that moment her mother went with her to Upzilla Health Complex to examine TB because she and other member of the neighbours suspected that her daughter infected by TB bacteria.

After pathological examine was identified she infected by TB bacteria. She registered in the Damien foundation to get medicine of TB and other facilities which related to TB program. 

Financial condition of poly is sound because her father doing job in Middle East (kingdom of Saudi Arab). She resides in a semi-building house with electricity facilities consist of five rooms. Since girlhood she lives with her mother at the age of five. When she grower then she shared bed with her grandmother.

Her Mother was a TB cure patients when she was five years. Little poly lives with her mother. When mother of poly was infected on TB then other family member had tried to left poly to sleep with her mother. But poly didn’t stay or sleep without her mother. It looks like manner of a childhood.

Now poly temporary dropped from school when she infected on TB bacteria. In sometimes a few friends of poly come to ploy’s house to looks for her. It understands to progress of poly herself by recent pathological examine. It is carried of sputum is negative. Poly expected that she will fully cure as a survivor of TB patients to complete in six month course of TB.

Finally it is important to concentrate to prevent TB among the children, adolescent and youth. Our program is needed to review for strengthening unless; we will lose our future generation who will not involve effectively our economical activity.
